Dr. Grace Wong is 4th generation New Zealand born Chinese. After gaining a Bachelor of Arts in sociology, Dr Grace Wong trained as a registered nurse and worked in pediatric care, public health and the School of Nursing at AUT.
Her MPH and PhD focus of study was on the impacts of smoking on older people and Asian families in New Zealand. She has conducted policy analyses, evaluations, secondary analyses of large data sets, surveys, a small quasi-experimental study, and descriptive qualitative studies.
Currently she partners with AUT researchers and activists to deliver evaluations and projects which address inequity and racism, as well as empowerment for Maori, Pacific Island and migrant workers.
